This Manchester property featured original Victorian plaster cornice that had suffered damage over time, with several sections missing or beyond repair.
To preserve the character of the room, Profile Mouldings Yorkshire carefully removed the damaged areas and produced new matching sections using a profile taken directly from the existing cornice. This allowed replacement pieces to be manufactured that accurately replicated the original Victorian design.
Alongside the cornice restoration work, a new traditional plaster ceiling rose was installed to complement the period detailing and create a balanced decorative finish.
By reproducing the original profile rather than using an off-the-shelf alternative, the repaired sections blend seamlessly into the existing cornice, maintaining the character and architectural integrity of the room.
The completed installation provides the homeowner with a fully restored Victorian cornice and ceiling rose ready for final decoration.
